General Overview

IPS Ceramics’ Silicon Carbide Rollers are used in Roller Hearth Kilns. In these kilns, the rollers form a ‘conveyor-belt’ from the kiln entrance to exit. Ware can be placed directly on the rollers, though kiln furniture batts and tiles typically are placed on the rollers to support them. As the rollers slowly turn, the ware (and kiln furniture) is gently transported through the kiln or furnace.

These rollers are extremely strong, durable and robust, and capable of withstanding heavy weights and high temperatures. They are resistant to abrasion, allowing them to be cleaned of any contamination by sand-blasting. Our rollers are designed and manufactured to fit the exact requirements of your Roller Hearth Kiln.

For applications involving lower temperatures than those which require Silicon Carbide, we also provide a range of Mullite Rollers.
