General Overview
IPS Ceramics’ cordierite profile setters are used to support bone china, fine china, and other vitreous ware during biscuit firings. The profile setters fully support the rim of the ware throughout its firing cycle, minimising distortion and maximising yields.
Our cordierite profile setters are available with separate legs or integral legs. Our premium setters are made by slip-casting, giving them a very smooth surface finish that can often be used without applying a ‘wash’ coating.
Our cordierite profile setters can be custom designed to fit your exact requirements. IPS Ceramics offers a rapid prototype service, allowing you to ensure the setter produces the correct shape/design of plate before committing to tooling.
