Pin Cranks
IPS Ceramics’ Pin Cranks are designed to support ware during glost firings.
The ware sits on the pins, receiving the maximum support while having minimum contact with the crank.
- Designed to minimise firing costs
- Low-weight and energy efficient
- Allows for high packing densities, maximising your kiln usage.
General Overview
IPS Ceramic’s Pin Cranks are typically used for the glost firing of porous ware which need their foot to be glazed. The ware rests on small ceramic ‘pins’ which have been fitted into the cranks. The pins leave only a small mark in the glaze that is easily polished away.
Our pin systems are designed to minimise firing costs. Reusable and ultra-low weight, the Pin Crank frames allow you to achieve very high packing densities, maximising your kiln usage.
