Extruded Batts, Plates, Tiles and Shelves
Batts, Plates, Tiles and Shelves hold and support ware during heat treatment processes. Extruded batts are particularly thick and have channels running through their centre. This design increases strength while reducing weight.
- Suitable for applications involving heavy loads.
- High levels of strength.
- Available in a range of custom sizes.
General Overview
Extruded batts, plates, tiles and shelves provide flat surfaces which support ware in kilns and furnaces during firings.
Extruded batts, plates, tiles and shelves have grooves running through their centre, giving them increased strength, better load-carrying capacity, and lower weight. They are traditionally used in applications involving comparatively heavier loads, such as firing sanitaryware products.
IPS Ceramics offer extruded batts, plates and shelves in a range of thicknesses between 16mm to 48mm, as well as thinner wall version offering reduced refractory mass and energy consumption.
IPS Ceramics’ extruded batts, plates, tiles and shelves are available in a large range of sizes which can be customised to your specific application. They are ground on all surfaces, providing precise control over sizes and improved flatness.
